Piemont

The staff were cooperative, and the rooms were spacious, especially the ones facing the road. The internet was very poor. Breakfast didn’t meet the standard, and we had to ask for items to be refilled. The air conditioning in my room was just okay, with plenty of room for improvement. I’d rate the place 2.5 out of 5, very average.

The bathroom was excellent, the room had plenty of space, and there are some nice restaurants close by. Parking for small cars is free if a space is available at the time. There are several maintenance problems: the keycard holder that controls the lights was held on with tape, the fridge buzzed loudly so I had to switch it off, and the breakfast area ceiling needed repairs. The air conditioning in my room seemed to make noise without doing anything.

The room has what I need, though it feels a bit cold even with the heat on. I’ve been at Hotel Piermont for a few days now, with eight more days to go on my first trip to Luxembourg. My travel agency booked it for me. Breakfast is included and is okay; I wasn’t sure what to expect. The staff are very friendly and can communicate in English, French and German.

After a sleepless night, I went down to reception at 5am and made sure I’d get a quiet room for the next night. They did move me, but the first night was awful. My original room was right by the lift and at the front, overlooking a busy street. At 6pm on Wednesday 14th September, I told reception I wouldn’t be able to sleep there and asked to change rooms. The man said the hotel was booked out and that it got very quiet at night. He didn’t check, and I had a work meeting in a few minutes, so I took his word for it. When I came back and settled in, it was still too noisy, and I didn’t sleep at all. The receptionist was dismissive. Now they had to clean two rooms instead of one for my stay.
