The main downside was the poor sound insulation. If other guests are loud, it can be pretty disturbing, so bring earplugs or noise-cancelling headphones. The owner was very kind and friendly, and the surroundings are lovely, with lots of nature, private homes, and little back gardens. There’s a bus stop almost right outside. Most of the place was very clean, though the shared kitchen wasn’t. The kitchen was otherwise great, with lots of cutlery and plates in different sizes, an induction oven, a gas oven, two washing machines, kettles, pans, and everything else you might need. There seemed to be plenty of food and spices left behind by other guests that you could use. The room had pleasant light colors, pretty curtains, and a nice painting. Breakfast was good and cheap at just €2, nothing fancy.

The room had a terrible, broken bed that was impossible to sleep on, sagging floors, and unpleasant smells: tar in the hallway and sewage in the room. Both room keys turned out to be identical and interchangeable, so we had to carry all our valuables around. For five people in two rooms over two days, we got four cheap shower gel packets that wouldn’t lather and one roll of toilet paper for both rooms. The rooms lacked even basic things: no glass, no promised kettle, no bedside lamp, and no TV. We were asked to pay cash, with the excuse that there was no card terminal. The listing has cute photos and the price isn’t even that low. On arrival, we found a place in the middle of a depressing residential area, with no sign, beside a badly potholed road where heavy trucks constantly rumble toward the cargo port.
