Riad Dar Adam

The woman hosting us was a big help, with directions and advice about shops, hammams, and what prices to expect. There’s free WiFi, and the room was very large. The Riad is beautiful too, especially with access to the terrace and its great views. The bathroom setup was the downside. There isn’t a private bathroom in the guest room. It’s in the main area and is small, with a tiny shower. As with the other riads I’ve visited, the facilities feel older. Even with the shower head aimed down at the drain, water covered the tiled floor and ran out the door.

Be careful when booking this riad, and consider having a backup reservation. I booked four rooms, then was told only three were available, then two, and eventually just one. The lady asked me to cancel as soon as possible while that one room was still available. It’s such a pity, because the Riad looked lovely and we’d been looking forward to staying there.

The rooftop terrace looks out across the whole Medina. The Riad is fantastic, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

A beautiful home, and a wonderful place to stay while experiencing life in the Medina. The hosts were lovely.
