The riad was beautiful and clean, with two terraces on the roof. Birds came by each day, and Sarah made a fresh, carefully prepared breakfast every morning. She was lovely with my five-year-old son, who quickly became her friend and always wanted to play with her. My husband, our son, and I felt as if we were visiting a cousin in the heart of the Medina of Marrakech. It was a wonderful encounter in a beautiful place, and perhaps we’ll return one day, Inshallah.

The rooms are quiet, spacious, and have modern air conditioning, and there’s a lovely rooftop terrace. The riad is close to Qana Mosque Square. Ms. Sarah is wonderful and provides exceptional service, and the place is clean and beautiful. One thing to know: the Google address is off by about 20 meters. There are two houses on the street with number 48, so the grocer next door can point you to the right one. The Swiss phone number is valid and belongs to the owner, who lives in Switzerland. If you message through the booking site, he’ll send you a Moroccan number for someone nearby who can help you find it.

The person who lists a Swiss phone number is unknown to people in Marrakech and to taxi drivers. The address given is for Sidi Soussane, an area of narrow alleys where it doesn’t feel safe even to walk, let alone live, and taxis won’t go into those lanes. This place is full of scammers.
