M. Abdali will greet guests or walk with them to different meeting points outside the medina. The host, Farida, can also make delicious Moroccan meals if you ask. This is a good-value place, small and quaint in the middle of the medina, with very clean, nicely decorated rooms.
Mrs.Sana was so nice and helpful. It was difficult to find the place at first, but she met us when we arrived. After that, we remembered the way and it was easy. It's a 10 min walk to the main square. Everything was super clean, and breakfast was good.
The Riad Dar Rania is a calm little oasis in the busy city. You walk about five minutes from the busy Medina streets to get there, and it's so relaxing once you arrive. The rooms were tastefully done, tidy and clean, and breakfast was decent. We could reach the hostess on WhatsApp any time for directions or questions. We'd definitely recommend staying here.
Be careful booking here. Under new ownership, they are accepting and confirming bookings despite having no actual availability. The place is hard to find, and although the manager tried to help, they didn't arrange alternative accommodation or offer any compensation. It nearly ruined our holiday.
The hosting was great, the service was well managed, and the decor felt authentic. I'd definitely come back.
