The host was amazing, and we were fine with the location. It’s 10-12 minutes from the city center and 40 minutes from the city airport, in a local area where you might not expect to find a Riad. Still, we could get cabs there at 2 AM, though it cost a bit extra at midnight. The building has a palatial feel, with three floors and seven rooms. Breakfast was disappointing for the first two days, with limited choice. Even omelettes ran out quickly, and our group of ten got only two or three. After we mentioned it on day four, they made much better omelettes, but then tried to charge extra without telling us that was part of the service.

Hayat and Mouna made it a lovely visit. The hammam and scrub were very pleasant, then I had a one-hour massage for 450 Mad. Really good value, and mint tea with cookies too. I highly recommend it.

The rooms suited our needs and it’s a great place for a holiday, but the welcome could have been better. Usually you’re offered tea or cakes when you arrive, and we weren’t. The man who greeted us showed us to our rooms quickly, then hurried off.

We found this little gem down a small, dark road, which we hadn’t expected. Breakfast on the rooftop was pure bliss.
