I booked the riad through Agoda two weeks before my trip. Four days before I was due to arrive, the owner messaged me there to say she was unhappy with the price. I explained that I had booked through Agoda and that she could contact them, but she was rude and accused me of lying. She said she had received no advance payment and didn’t work with Agoda. It seemed she didn’t understand how bookings between partners work, with a third-party agency collecting from customers and paying the owner on arrival. She put the pressure on me instead of handling the issue professionally through the commissioner she worked with. She should have dealt with it promptly when they notified her of the booking. I don’t know why she waited so long to check the price. Eventually she cancelled my booking, which was fair enough for her to do. But that left me just three days before arrival to find another place at very competitive prices, even though my original booking had been confirmed with no risk of cancellation.

Mila, the Spanish owner, made me feel comfortable as soon as I arrived in this wonderful city. It’s a small, cozy hotel in a very good location. Highly recommended!

I had a spacious, comfortable room, and the meals I ate at the riad, both breakfast and dinner, were generous and delicious. Mila was so friendly and welcoming. She helped throughout my stay with suggestions for places to visit and even came along with me to a trustworthy spice shop. I hope I can return someday.
