Riad Cannelle

The staff were amazing, and our room felt authentic and comfortable. A helpful chef served breakfast every day. It was a little hard to find the place, but Liomoni, a great restaurant just around the corner, had fantastic Moroccan food. Check out Al Fnaa and look for the snake charmers, pretty cool.

The staff were genuinely kind and very helpful, and there are restaurants and souks nearby that seem to stretch for miles. Breakfast was a whole spread: fresh orange juice, crepes, coffee, tea, couscous bread, and other pastries. The hotel sits quietly off a side alley, and we missed the entrance at first. That might put off someone unfamiliar with the area, but there’s a peaceful oasis waiting once you find it.

The rooms were spacious, clean, and nice, but ours faced the entrance and was rather loud, with a machine humming nearby. Breakfast was a bit disappointing compared with other places we stayed. The coffee and tea water were heated early and left in insulated bottles on the tables, so depending on when you eat, your coffee may be lukewarm.

Badr, the night attendant, was exceptionally kind, attentive, and helpful, and made us feel welcome. We spent five days at this charming, authentic little gem in historic Marrakech. The riad is centrally placed, within walking distance of everything, including the souk, and our room was charmingly decorated.
