Riad Dar Karma

Naoual was charming and always attentive to us. We’d definitely return, and still think about the orange juice, which was the best freshly squeezed juice in the world, in my opinion. Breakfast was good and typically Moroccan, with excellent coffee. We also enjoyed a very pleasant few days at Riad Dar Karma in mid-October 2025. The Regine suite was fine and had all the amenities, though the bed felt a little narrow for us, more queen than king size, and not the 1.80m minimum width we prefer. Inside, the riad was peaceful, with beautiful courtyards that made it easy to relax. The location was convenient, away from the bustle but close to everything. I was using crutches during the stay, but that didn’t stop me enjoying Marrakech, one of my favorite cities. We would have liked to try dinner there, but they don’t sell alcohol, and we can’t imagine a good meal without a bottle of wine.

The location is in a quiet area near a livelier street with shops, and the main square and other parts of the Medina are within walking distance or a short taxi ride. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked great. The riad itself was gorgeous, tranquil, and super clean. Breakfast was delicious every day, and we enjoyed the hammam. After the hot souks, the pool felt refreshingly cold. The staff were so friendly and always ready to help. Thank you, Naoual, Abdul, and the cleaning crew!

I’ve been to Morocco three times and stayed in lots of places, including Nobu at $600 a night and this one for under $100. This is my favorite by far. The staff were super nice, the riad is beautiful and relaxing in a charming way, and the full body massage on the roof was wow. Highly recommend.

The tajine we had for lunch was one of the best in Marrakech, and breakfast on the terrace was abundant. Riad Dar Karma is an authentic Moroccan riad in the Kasbah district of the Marrakech medina, with beautiful Arab-style rooms and an excellent in-house hammam with massages. Ms. Naoual, the Reception Manager, and Ahmed were kind and professional. Highly recommended!
