Our clients felt very well cared for and were delighted with their stay at Riad Dar One. Rachida's homemade dinner was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is warm, calm, and welcoming, and the location makes it easy to explore the Medina. Many thanks to Abdelhak, the manager, for his professional care, and to Hakim on the night shift, who was consistently attentive and helpful. We highly recommend this comfortable, authentic experience.

The Dar One crew were lovely and caring, with Hakim as the good soul of the place. This beautiful riad sits just outside the Medina, so getting there by cab or car is easy. It's been nicely renovated and maintained, and with only six guest rooms, the experience feels intimate and quiet amid busy Marrakesh. We enjoyed our time at this crazy place.

Hakim is the reason Riad Dar One became part of our Moroccan story. He met us as we stepped out of the taxi, carried our luggage, and led us through the little alleyways to the riad. The route seemed tricky at first, but felt simple and familiar after that first walk. He welcomed us with mint tea and biscuits, explained where we were and how to get around, and made us feel at home, almost like royalty, even though we're very humble people. After long days exploring the Medina, souks, and Marrakech, it was lovely to come back to his mint tea, cookies, and warm conversation. His kindness felt genuine, and he treated every guest like family. He also checked that everyone was safe and well cared for each day, and if a guest was late, he'd stay awake until they got back. The city felt safe to us, with a strong police presence, but he still made sure everyone returned safely. The riad itself is beautiful, magical, and luxurious. Our spacious, clean, comfortable room had a bathroom that felt like a spa, with a big relaxing bathtub. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious each morning. Chef Hayat and Chef Rachida made some of the best food we tried in Morocco, and the meals were wonderful throughout our trip. On our first night, dinner at the riad was a delicious chicken and beef tagine, prepared with care. Hakim also woke early to make us a fresh packed breakfast for an excursion. Staying in a traditional riad in the Medina had been my dream for years. I finally got to visit Morocco with my amazing husband, who helped make it come true. After months of research, Riad Dar One kept coming up as a top choice. Booking early helped, since it often fills up, and we're grateful we chose it. It's well placed for walking to many Marrakech sights and activities. Even with our delayed flight, arranging things with Abdelhak went smoothly. He organized transport from the airport to a drop-off point near the riad and kept in touch during our stay. He helped us pick dinner options and chatted with us about Marrakech. A tip for travelers: download WhatsApp, the easiest and most reliable way to communicate in Morocco, especially with a riad host or tour provider. We can't wait to return to Marrakech and stay at Riad Dar One again. We'll remember this experience with so much gratitude. Thanks to the whole team for making our dream trip special. With deep gratitude, Jeanette and Joel Reeves NJ, USA

Ask the Riad to meet you at the airport. Finding the little alley for the first time can be tricky. Once inside, I loved the decor, and the place has a really cool feel. It's a fabulous spot near the souks in Marrakesh. Loved it, and we'll be back.

The payment arrangements felt misleading. We asked in advance what had to be paid in cash, and the service person promised to clarify it, but we weren't told until checkout. We chose Riad Dar One expecting a four-star stay, but several things disappointed us, particularly the safety and professionalism. The shower was faulty, leaking at the hose connection, so I had to hold it while using it and couldn't wash my hair. Getting to the riad meant going along a narrow, poorly lit street and stairs. Once, a man followed us and tried to misdirect us, and on another occasion a child harassed us with obscene gestures. We raised both incidents with the manager A., who didn't apologize and responded dismissively. The riad may have charm, but the manager's communication and lack of attention to guest safety don't match a four-star property.
