Riad La Gazelle du Sud

The food was extremely delicious and nicely served, from breakfast through dinner, and we really enjoyed our stay at this hidden gem. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome, especially Houssaine, who was attentive and very clever. Hassan was great as well. Thank you to all the members of Riad La Gazelle du Sud. We are definitely coming back.

The room was barely bigger than a shoe box, nothing like the listing, with no safe or even drawers. There was hardly space to walk around. The bed was small and uncomfortable, with only one pillow, and the towels smelled bad. Getting there meant passing through pathways full of trash, with men catcalling. I didn’t feel safe at all. When we politely said the room wasn’t what we expected, the staff were rude and stayed that way throughout our visit. They spoke impolitely and sometimes didn’t even greet us. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Don’t go.

Two people in my family were put in a roof service room that doesn’t appear on the riad’s website or booking platforms. It felt like the place was overbooked and we were given a backup room. We were told we could move the next day when we asked to change rooms, but when we followed up, they denied having said that and started treating us rudely. Hassan was especially disrespectful to all of us, including my 83-year-old grandmother. We were all women and felt mistreated throughout our stay. We’d expected a welcoming, authentic riad experience, but left feeling disrespected and very disappointed. I don’t recommend La Gazelle du Sud.

The breakfast was great and the beds were nice. The place itself is beautiful, the service very, very good, and the location perfect. I travel a lot and highly recommend it.
