Riad Lalla Merieme

Badiaa and Meria are warm, caring, fun people who made us feel at home, and the neighborhood was welcoming too. The Riad is on the edge of the Kasbah, so it’s easy to reach while staying peaceful and away from the bustle of the more central Riads. It’s stylish, cozy, very clean, and clearly well cared for. Breakfast was very good, but do stay for a meal as well, the food they make is stunning. We treasured our time there.

The Kasbah setting gave us easy access to attractions while still feeling like a quiet escape from the busy streets of Marrakech. Mariam’s recommendation to eat at Palais Dar Soukkar was spot on. She got us great seats for a memorable evening with live music and a lively atmosphere. Mohamed also went out of his way to find traditional Moroccan items for us at great prices. We were three friends on a week-long trip, and each of us had a cozy, beautifully decorated room. Everything was spotless and welcoming, and it felt like a home away from home. On arrival, we were greeted with mint tea and biscuits. Mariam, the owner, and Mohamed, the manager, were always ready to help, whether we needed extra towels or answers to our many questions. Breakfast each morning had Moroccan specialties and hot coffee. One friend asked to try a particular breakfast, and they made it for him the very next day. The rooftop terrace was another highlight, a lovely spot for drinks, relaxing, and enjoying the sun. When we left, Mohamed got up at 5:30 AM to make us coffee and a small breakfast, even though we hadn’t asked. They also sent us off with Moroccan desserts and biscuits to take home. In all my hotel stays, I’ve rarely had service this thoughtful. The riad made our trip comfortable and memorable, and I’d gladly return. It deserves its five stars and more! 💜

My husband and I spent a lovely week here, and the riad felt more like home than a hotel. It’s clean and beautiful, but also authentic and full of soul. We were welcomed with so much kindness, and we really liked the neighborhood. By the end of each day, we’d say, “Shall we go home?” Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Booking was easy, and the riad even arranged our transfer. Communication with Christian and the staff was simple, and they made us feel welcome. The rooftop terrace was a nice bonus, and the Kasbah quarter is calm while still being close to everything. The rooms were clean and lovely, and the staff were attentive and friendly. We had a beautiful stay.
