Riad La Rose du Désert

The staff were so friendly and polite, and the area felt safe. All the tourist attractions are within walking distance. We spent three nights here and really enjoyed this beautiful, quiet spot in the Medina. The room was clean, with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was good, with coffee and tea, an omelette, cheese, fruit, bread, and some kind of pastry.

The manager happened to be on his way to the Riad when I was leaving. He stopped to thank me and asked if I had printed my boarding pass. When I said I needed to find somewhere, he took me back and printed it for me. Marrakech airport doesn't have facilities for online boarding passes, so print yours. The staff were wonderful, the rooms were clean, and the location was great, close to everything in a good area that didn't feel sketchy. Google Maps took me right to the door. There are two Riads within 10 metres of each other, and I was in the other one. It was quiet, since breakfast was served at the main Riad. Inside, they look exactly the same. My room was called ' CACTUS'. The sink and bath area could be bigger: water spilled out and left a puddle outside. A small bedside table for a phone or water would be useful too. Breakfast was decent and delicious, though I'd have liked more choice. The room was cleaned daily. A perfect stay overall, and those small issues don't cost it any stars for me. Nothing is always perfect, and the ruggedness and imperfections are part of what makes a Riad a Riad. If you want somewhere brand new and flawless, this might not be for you. I'd definitely return to Marrakech and stay here again.

Youssef gave us a lovely welcome, and the whole team was great. It's a charming, quiet, clean place, well situated for walking everywhere. Breakfast was delicious and generous. Wishing you all the best for the future!
