Villa Otia

Our room was roomy and easy to settle into, and the staff were genuinely helpful. We also enjoyed having breakfast each morning. Villa Otia has a distinctive modern feel, but it still comes across as comfortable and welcoming. We had a great one-night stay in Gueliz, and would recommend it for its character and location.

Thomas made the stay especially lovely: warm, attentive, and always around when needed. Villa Otia feels like a calm little haven in Gueliz, while still being close to everything. The decor has loads of character and feels inspiring, and the place has a real soul to it. I absolutely recommend it and will be back.

Breakfast was handled with such care. The young woman serving it didn’t speak English, but she still went out of her way to make sure everything was right. Tufic at reception was just as welcoming, always greeting us with a smile. The service was prompt throughout, and our room was ready whenever we got back, whatever time we’d left. We stayed in the last room on the top floor. It had air conditioning, a TV, a hammock, and a sofa area connected to the bathroom, which made it a relaxing space. The bathroom was clean and well kept, with robes, towels, soaps, and attractive, practical decor. The welcome from the start was very kind. The location is quiet but lively, near Mohamed IV Avenue. Grocery shops, restaurants, and other essentials are only a few minutes away. A friendly, comfortable base for exploring Marrakech.

Breakfast was a treat every morning, generous and varied, with the table always set beautifully. The house itself has an eclectic, charming look, with thoughtfully chosen vintage pieces, and a cozy, peaceful feel that made us feel at home. Our room was lovely too, carefully decorated. I stayed with my daughter, and Thomas always found little ways to make her feel welcome. She didn’t like the local butter, so the next morning he had French butter ready just for her. That kind of thoughtfulness really stayed with us. Thomas is fascinating and so kind, and clearly puts his heart into looking after guests. We had an extraordinary stay and will definitely return.
