The bed was comfortable, the service was amazing, and having free laundry on the fifth floor was a big help during my six-night stay. Edgar was patient with all my questions and gave me great recommendations for the area. I could hear people in the lobby from my second-floor room facing the interior, so if you want a quieter room, ask for one on the outer perimeter. It wasn’t a big deal for me, but it could be if you plan to sleep in. A mini fridge and microwave would be nice additions. Otherwise, everything about the hotel was great.

We’d had some wonderful nights at another nearby hotel before trying this one, and leaving there turned out to be a mistake. Its exterior is beautiful, and the staff deserve real credit: they smile, are helpful, and go out of their way to assist. Beyond that, I didn’t find much to like. The rooms need serious updating. Ours, supposedly one of the suites, had water-stained walls, dull, dirty carpets and curtains, and broken balcony doors we couldn’t access. Breakfast was just as bad: dried-out chicken nuggets, stale, inedible curly fries, and bread so hard it was like a rock. I’m not exaggerating, people were throwing their food away. Management could make this place amazing if they took reviews seriously and made changes. We won’t be back, though we do have another favorite hotel elsewhere that we’ll gladly return to.

The historic center location is a huge plus. Oxxos, pharmacies, restaurants, and bars are just steps away, with fantastic food right outside. My partner and I loved our stay and would both happily come back. We felt looked after the whole time. The room was spotless and comfortable, with enough space for our things, and they changed the sheets and towels daily. The AC got acceptably cold, the room never felt stuffy, and they left bottled water for us. There’s laundry and a few other amenities on site that we didn’t use, but it’s good to have them available. Even though we checked in late, the staff greeted us warmly. Most speak both languages, and since I speak Spanish, I could chat with them more easily. They were consistently thoughtful and polite. I’d definitely recommend considering this place for a Mexico City stay.

Breakfast was pretty good. We’re vegetarian and still found quite a few options. The concierge was consistently friendly and helpful, and the hotel is in a great spot, safe and clean, with restaurants nearby. We loved the bakery right across from the hotel, Madrid. The rooms are quite old, especially the bathrooms, and we missed having a tub because the kids usually enjoy one. Still, everything was clean, and housekeeping did an excellent job. A great experience overall :)

There was a total water outage from 5:00 PM until 1:00 AM, and the way the hotel handled it was deceptive and unprofessional. I paid an extra $120 USD for an upgraded room at check-in. The staff took the money, then casually told me afterward that there was no water. I also saw them continue checking in new guests without telling them about the outage. After a full day of travel, being told to "use a water bottle to wash your face" was an insulting response when I couldn’t use the toilet or shower. I had to wander around the city that evening just to find a working restroom instead of relaxing in the room I’d paid for. There was no backup plan, no offer to move me, and no apologetic tone from the staff. I’m from the United States and expect Hilton to meet basic health and safety standards. This was disgraceful. I’m writing to alert Hilton Management to the complete breakdown in hospitality here, and strongly advise anyone visiting Mexico City to avoid the property until management learns to treat guests with basic honesty and respect.
