Everything went smoothly, and the place was really clean. The service was top-notch, with a super friendly and helpful team. I’d gladly stay here again, and highly recommend it.

Usually decent for what you pay, and it’s the cheapest hostel in the city. The downside is some absolute basura guests who make noise late at night. People watch videos on their phones without headphones right beside you at 3 AM, or throw parties in the hallway. Que increíble!

UPDATE 1/26/26: Management had to be reminded more than once that leaving the women's restroom door open with a surveillance camera facing it invades guests’ privacy. Per Google, this is generally illegal at a hotel in Mexico because bathrooms and hotel rooms are places where people have a high expectation of privacy. It can lead to criminal charges and civil lawsuits even if the camera is outside the bathroom and directed toward it. All the guests got sick in January. I developed a fever of 101° from the flu. I heated instant soup and took it to my bunk so I wouldn’t make other guests sicker, or get sicker myself. A staff member told me I couldn’t eat in the room. I explained that I was sick, but she didn’t care, which put me and the other guest at more risk. Within days, even new arrivals were sick. I didn’t notice staff getting sick. I suspect poor sanitation may have played a part: dishes washed in cold, dirty water with little or no soap, bedding that didn’t smell like washing powder had touched it, and restrooms often without tissue. There wasn’t even a soap dispenser in the bathroom, so guests could be spreading who knows what around. That could also have contributed to everyone getting sick, though staff seemed unaffected. ORIGINAL REVIEW: There were a lot of problems here. I saw roaches in the microwave and in a room, reported them to staff and management, and an exterminator never came. There was no restroom soap for handwashing. Carla, a staff member, argued with a guest and then picked a fight with me. When I responded with the same energy, they called me difficult. The double standard felt like racism, and management backed the unprofessional behavior. They left ladders around the restroom where someone could get hurt. Dishes had to be washed in a small bucket of old cold water with little or no soap, so I don’t see how they could be sanitized. When I raised these safety concerns, I felt targeted and was called difficult. One time a white guy lit the stove in the kitchen, and I put a pot on the flame. Carla yelled at me that I couldn’t use the stove, but said nothing to him even though he lit it. I asked her not to chastise me and matched her energy, but management then said I’d been rude to staff. At a minimum, she should have spoken to both of us, not only scolded me. They shut all the restrooms at once and expect guests to hold it. If you need medication kept cold, you can’t get to it regularly. Toilet paper was often missing, and guests had to wait for staff to clean the bathroom and replace it before they could clean themselves. Meanwhile, clothes could get soiled with bodily fluids. I raised this with Carla and got a nonchalant response and no solution. Sometimes there was no tissue at all, and soap was absent too. I could go on, but will save the rest for the health department and my attorney. Beware of this location unless you look forward to getting sick. Find a better place to spend your money.

The rooms have poor light and ventilation, with few windows. Most air out into the hallway, so noise carries. In the ladies bathroom, half the toilets didn’t work, and there was just one exit on the ground floor at the front, which seems hazardous in a fire. There was often no toilet paper, and no soap, towels, or hand towels in the bathrooms. No laundry service, and washing clothes in the sink wasn’t allowed. Showers and kitchen access were limited to certain times of day.
