I wouldn’t recommend it, especially at that price. I stayed for two nights, and the place seemed neglected and rundown. There was a roof leak, half the lights were out, and it didn’t feel clean or cared for. Privacy was limited, and anyone hoping to meet people should look elsewhere.

After crossing town, I found out my booking had been cancelled. They hadn’t told me ahead of time or cancelled it online, so I was left without anywhere to stay. No apology, just a “yeaah.” Given that attitude, I’d spend my money elsewhere.

We booked through Hostelworld, but when we got there the doors were shut. Apparently the hostel doesn’t exist anymore. Don’t book it.

When I arrived, I was told the hostel was closed for building work and my booking had been cancelled. Nobody contacted me beforehand, and they hadn’t formally cancelled it through hostelworld.com.

It has a relaxed vibe, but it’s still social enough to meet people quickly if that’s what you’re after. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the place felt like home. I’d definitely recommend it.
