Wyndham Grand Mexico City

We came for a birthday trip and had such a great time. The neighborhood was lovely and easy to explore on foot, with restaurants in every direction. The hotel itself is cute and very modern, but the staff are what really made it stand out. Lucho helped with our bags as soon as we arrived and had great recommendations. Cesar got us checked in quickly and was really helpful, as was everyone else we met. I wish I could name them all. They’re a big reason we’ll stay here next time we visit this lovely city.

Our modern room was beautifully designed and really efficient, and we loved having so many restaurants and attractions within an easy stroll. The hotel sits nicely between Condessa and Roma, and from the rooftop restaurant and pool you get a stunning view of the whole city. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to help. Bruno, thank you for your hospitality. It was a pleasure meeting you and Andrea. We had a wonderful 5-day stay at Andaz by Hyatt in Mexico City and highly recommend it.

Breakfast was outstanding, with everything from traditional Mexican food and freshly made tacos to vegetarian options and a section just for kids. The property is large, with plenty on site: two restaurants, two cafés, and a rooftop spot with board games and arcade games. The 24-hour gym has excellent equipment. The hotel is very clean, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The pool is less practical, though, since glass separates it from a dining area, which could feel uncomfortable if you want more privacy while swimming. Service was very good, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We loved the thoughtful touches in our room, especially the record player and the little paper mache piñata figurine, or “alebrijes,” which in our case was a cute little dog. The record player pays tribute to the neighborhood's oldest record store. The building itself has a fascinating history: architect José Luis Benlliure designed the Aristos Complex in 1961, and the Condesa landmark once held government offices, residences, and a record shop. Its mid-century modern style is still part of its creative feel, and it now houses The Andaz Mexico City Condesa. Our seven-night stay was very comfortable, thanks to the bright, clean modern room, crisp linens, lovely toiletries, and wonderful housekeeping staff. Everyone welcomed us warmly from the start, and the staff are a big reason guests return. We loved the breakfast buffet at Portico Restaurant, with both Western and Mexican food, and the Cabuya Rooftop restaurant on the 17th floor, where you can see the Mexico City skyline in every direction.
