We came from LA for our first stay here because my husband has family nearby. Part of the ceiling gave way after getting soaked, and luckily I only got a scratch. My husband complained at the front desk, but I don’t think they really cared (:

Such a beautiful hotel, and everyone there was so kind!

We rented a villa for a weekend at the end of June. The view from the hotel is exceptional, and guests staying in the Villas get a private pool. The weekend buffet was delicious and had lots of options. Our spacious Villa fit four of us very comfortably, and the room’s streaming service had Netflix and Disney Plus, which is handy if you’re traveling with kids. Getting to the Villas is a challenge. They’re across the street and up in the mountains, so you need a golf cart. There’s also a terrace and bridge leading to that side, but walking means hiking up multiple steps and levels to your room. It was easy to get a cart from the lobby, but when we were already in the room, we waited at least 45 minutes, and sometimes none came at all. There aren’t enough carts. Outside food is prohibited, so you’re stuck with what the restaurants serve. Only one restaurant was open during our stay. Room service is available, but they charge an 18% gratuity whether you pick it up yourself or have it delivered. The Villas have no microwave or fridge, so ordered food gets cold. Uber won’t come up to the hotel. Rent a car if you need to leave. I didn’t ask whether staff could recommend a taxi or other vehicle service, so hopefully they can.

I went to a quince. The setting and service were great, and I had a good experience. I didn’t stay in the rooms, so I can’t comment on them.
