Hotel Plaza Ejecutivo

The hotel was in great condition, and the rooms felt cozy at night. The staff were really friendly and the room was nice. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, but its menu looked extensive. One thing that bothered me was the extra charge for air conditioning. I thought that should come with the room. Still, we enjoyed the stay and the room.

We stayed for 19 nights and I was happy with the choice. It was very clean, and the rooms at the back on the left were especially quiet when you’re facing the front of the building. The elevator helped a lot since my wife has a knee problem, and there’s parking too. If you leave a tip, hand it directly to the women who clean the rooms. We had reserved five rooms in January for April, planning to attend Tepabril. When the fiestas were canceled because of COVID-19, we asked the hotel to cancel our booking, but they wouldn’t refund us and only offered to move the dates. We didn’t want to reschedule while Mexico had a stay-at-home order and cases were rising. This was an unprecedented situation, and we expected an exception to the no-refund rule. We understood that the hotel normally doesn’t offer refunds, but other hotels were making exceptions. April rates are double the usual price because of the fiestas, which made their response even more upsetting. Customer service was horrible. They’ve lost our future business, and we’ll spread the word. Mi familia había reservado cinco cuartos en enero para asistir a Tepabril, pero cancelaron las fiestas por COVID-19. Pedimos cancelar y devolvernos el dinero, pero solo quisieron cambiar la fecha. No queríamos hacerlo porque nadie podía salir de casa y los casos de COVID-19 estaban aumentando mucho en México. Debieron reconocer que era una situación sin precedentes y hacer una excepción, sobre todo porque cobran el doble en abril durante las fiestas. Perdieron nuestro futuro negocio y vamos a correr la voz.

Good hotel, and the price was reasonable. Recommended!
