Friendly staff, though you’ll need some Spanish to communicate with them. This is a nice boutique hotel with a pool, comfortable rooms, and breakfast included in the price. I’d like a mini fridge in the room. Also, the rooms are either private and dark or bright but public. It would be better to have natural light and some privacy at the same time.

The breakfast is included, with lots of choices, and it was delicious. I stayed from Monday morning through Thursday and got a wonderful, relaxing rest. It’s a quiet hotel with relaxing music, no kids allowed, and Wi-Fi throughout. Downtown is nearby, and the place feels safe. The main gate is usually locked, so when I arrived I rang the bell and they let us in. There’s plenty of parking. One drawback: there are no ramps or handrails coming down from the roof garden. I highly recommend the hotel.

The location worked well for me, a short walk from the zocalo and surrounding area, and around a 30-minute walk to the start of the hiking trails. The rooms were fine, though I found the mattress too firm. The senior staff were unpleasant, rude, unhelpful, and slow to respond. They seemed to spend long stretches sitting with friends at reception, which made it feel hard to approach them. The pool photos are very creative and don’t reflect the actual space. Watch out for the hotel dog. She seems friendly and is allowed to beg in the dining area, wagging her tail and going up to people, but she bites if you try to pet her. She also hasn’t had her rabies shots.

【POSDATA】5 de Mayo During our one-night stay, the hotel charged my card twice for the room. When I asked, the manager offered no help and told me to contact Booking.com. Booking.com said the hotel should handle it because we had paid in advance, but the female manager wasn’t accommodating. We arrived an hour after check-in was supposed to start, yet the room wasn’t ready. After we explained we’d spent the afternoon in very hot weather, they still had us wait 20 minutes in a mostly unshaded area. When we unlocked the room they assigned us, there was another hotel guest couple on the bed inside. They were startled too, and management had little to say when we reported it. The room we eventually stayed in had a shower head that didn’t work properly, weak water pressure, and a drain that was about 80% clogged, so water pooled when we showered. It felt unsanitary. We told staff and took a video of the drain, but nothing was done during our stay. Several fixtures needed repair: a loose wall lamp and a wobbly chair. There was also nowhere to hang jackets, which is a strange design choice. At checkout, the hotel felt very unfriendly. Nobody said goodbye or thank you, and when we asked to store our bags, they told us to pile them in a corner ourselves. They saw our taxi arrive and didn’t help with our luggage or acknowledge us leaving, even though the manager was sitting four meters away and ignored us. When I raised incidents 1-4 with the manager, she wasn’t apologetic and showed no interest in improving. The manager sent me harassing messages afterward and blocked me. That’s no way for an employee to treat a guest. This hotel is horrible. The biggest improvement would be replacing the manager. She isn’t service-oriented and is terrible to deal with. I’ve lived in Mexico City for 10 years, and this was the first time I’ve had service this awful.

The staff and service were incredible, and the hotel has a great location and views. Highly recommended.
