Casa Playa del Amor

The hotel’s location by playa del amor is unbeatable if you plan to visit that beach often. Breakfast was good, and the staff were extremely friendly. When I checked in, I’d left my phone in the taxi from PXM. I could track it with my laptop, and the receptionist kindly let me use her phone to call it. The driver turned around, and I got it back within an hour. Construction, mostly around the pool, cut my stay short. A crew was there from 8 AM until work ended each day, which dampened the clothing-optional experience for me. I was told about the work one day before check-in and thought I could tough it out. I’d originally received a 15% discount, but after two nights I told the property through Booking.com that I was leaving early. They refunded the last two nights in full. The person I spoke with through Booking.com was understanding and apologetic, as were the staff when I told them I was leaving. I’d consider staying again on a future trip to Zipolite.

Great location and vibe, and the staff are so welcoming. This was my third stay over the years, and it still never disappoints. Hospitality with a capital H. The rooms are clean, the pool is cold, which I like, and clothing is optional. There’s a small continental breakfast included, fresh but not large. My room was HOT, but the two fans they provided helped a lot.

It’s a good choice if you want calmer evenings and mornings. Some of the more central beach hotels get crowded or have parties, while this place is just steps from the beach. The staff were incredibly kind, the rooms were clean, and breakfast was served every morning. There’s no A/C, but the fans and ocean breeze kept that from being a problem.

We could hear the waves from our spacious, clean, comfortable room, and the price felt fair. The hotel sits beside the beach in a quiet part of town, with an easy walk along the sand to the main strip. Breakfast is included and was a lovely start to the day. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The host is also super sexy :P Ten out of ten, recommend!
