The staff were warm and hospitable, and the place is near central Amsterdam. The downside is the steep staircase, where you could easily break your neck. If you stay here, I'd choose a room like ours with a separate toilet and shower.
The flat we got was very old and worn, cramped with barely any room to move, and more like a low-end hostel. From what we could tell, there was just one flat that looked like the nice photo on the website. It ruined what was otherwise a good trip, and management showed no interest when we told them it wasn't what we'd booked. Some people have left good reviews, but they may have been lucky with their flat. I wouldn't recommend Bema to anyone. There are much better places available.
We loved staying in this beautiful apartment, and the location was great. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam!
The people running these apartments are lovely, kind, and patient. The place is close to the center, and I'd definitely recommend it to everyone!
