City Break Amsterdam B&B

The location was brilliant, and our host was lovely. The room was very clean and had amenities available. Totally recommend it!

Ria was incredibly accommodating when we arrived early. She let us leave our bags and have a quick cuppa before heading out to explore Amsterdam. We had the place to ourselves on an overnight mini-break with two couples. The rooms were large and airy, with a very generously stocked mini fridge of drinks and snacks. There were toiletries, fluffy white towels, and slippers, too. As expected, the front room gets noisy at night, but Ria had left ear plugs. Breakfast was lovely and set us up for the day. Thanks for being so kind, Ria.

Ria made our stay great. She was an absolute delight, nothing was too much trouble, and her breakfasts were delicious. The room was very reasonably priced. You’re right in the middle of the Red light district, which can be loud and rowdy. Honestly, my wife and I didn’t hear any noise and slept soundly in our comfortable beds. This isn’t a 5-star hotel, but it’s an excellent B&B for a few days. I’d say it’s mainly better suited to younger couples because of the area and the very steep flight of stairs to the room. We’ll stay at Ria’s place again when we come back.

This isn’t a hotel, so don’t expect typical hotel services. What you get instead is warm hospitality and a very private place with only two rooms. Maria is a great host, responsive and helpful, and she has interesting life stories. Highly recommend it!
