A river-view room, a pleasant outdoor area, and a quiet night, though the hostel is a little outside the center. The rooms and beds were comfortable, the showers clean, and the staff friendly. They also had different promotions each day. All good.

The shower area was repeatedly dirty, with hair on the floor and walls, and the mattress was much too soft. I also found the storage inadequate: the lockers don't have locks, so you need to bring your own, and they won't fit a carry-on. I don't see how you can secure your belongings if your luggage has to go under the bed. There's enough room to provide proper lockers, and I've stayed in several European hostels without encountering this problem. On the good side, the hostel is close to the subway and several attractions, the staff were welcoming, and the rooms and bedding were clean. There's no breakfast, but you can use the stove and refrigerator.

The location and cleanliness were good, but I waited for activities each day and none took place. The room wasn't to my taste: the door was noisy enough to disturb sleep, there were no outlets by the beds, and the top bunk had a wide gap beside the wall where you or your things could fall out. I also wish there were more lights, since the current lighting makes the place feel a bit sad. The hotel was fine otherwise.

I was showering in the middle stall on the left on the lower ground floor. The temperature couldn't be adjusted, and I had to press the button every 20 seconds to keep the water running. It started extremely cold, then after about three minutes turned dangerously hot, almost like boiling. I couldn't leave to try another shower because the bathroom is shared by men and women, and I was covered in soap. I ended up catching water in my hands and pouring it over myself, feeling really distressed. I'm not especially sensitive to temperature, but it genuinely hurt like burning on contact. My hands are still red.
