The only snag was that check-in was late, but they kindly called us as soon as our room was ready, which we really appreciated. The staff were friendly, the location was great, and the rooms were clean and nicely decorated with everything we might need. You can also buy snacks there.

This was my second stay, and I'll definitely be back. Our room was quite large, had nice amenities, and looked out over the canal. They even sell museum tickets at reception, which is a nice touch. It's close enough to Amsterdam Centraal to walk, with lots of restaurants and shops nearby.

The location is perfect: you're quickly on the main street, but the place itself is still very quiet. The rooms are large and nicely presented. I'd stay again and recommend it.

I was already thinking this might be the best hotel I've stayed in before I found the birthday hamper and card in my room. The room was perfect, the location was perfect, and the staff were friendly to chat with and gave me local suggestions for things to do. The canal house has a traditional look inside and out, which gives it an authentic feel, but there's a lift to the rooms. I also had a nice canal view from the bedroom window. It's worth paying extra to stay here.
