The boat is small and fairly old, and you can see and feel its age. The cabins are tiny, so don’t expect a hotel standard room or amenities. It’s cozy, but the plumbing means used toilet paper has to go in a separate bin instead of being flushed. The Wi-Fi could be better too. Breakfast is quite decent, with ham, cheese, several kinds of bread and cake, cereal, fruit, coffee, tea, juice, and more than I’d expect from a hostel. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The location is good too, about a 10-minute walk from Amsterdam central station. I’d recommend it, especially if the alternative is a hostel common room on the mainland with 10 random people.

My husband and I loved our two nights on the boat. Shane, the boat manager, was very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was very good. The location is fantastic, with a great view, and we met some lovely people staying aboard.

Staying on a boat was pretty cool, and the free breakfast was quite alright. The location is perfect and the staff are friendly. The cabins are small and have a bit of a musty smell, probably from damp. The toilet door didn’t shut properly, so there wasn’t much privacy.

We asked to leave our luggage for a day while we went to a festival, but they wouldn’t help us. The rooms are so tiny that two people can’t stand comfortably. If you use a shared bathroom, it has two doors from two different rooms, and neither door can be locked from inside. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

Sean was lovely, and the location is great. He’s the only reason I stayed. The breakfast was good too, but the cabin was a huge disappointment. The photos don’t look anything like the real place, and it’s much too small for two people. The bunks are only about 15 inches wide and 5 feet long. There’s hardly any floor space. I’m only 5 feet 2 and still struggled, and two people can’t get ready at the same time. The steps onto the boat are a bit dodgy. At £228 for two nights, it’s not that cheap. There are nicer, bigger hotels for less. I stayed in the cabin farther along the dock before, and this one was very disappointing by comparison. It might be OK for a student, but I wouldn’t advise it for older people. Other sites list this boat as a hostel.
