Townhouse Hotel

The owner made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. My sister and I are from the United States and were visiting Palwal. He was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and accommodating, and even offered to share his meal with us. That was such a thoughtful, generous gesture. His hospitality made the stay special, and we’d absolutely recommend the place to anyone visiting or passing through Palwal.

The central location is excellent, close to everything in Amsterdam, and the price is really good for the area. The reception staff’s lack of interest was actually kind of likeable to me. I didn’t want to talk to people either, so that part was almost sympathetic. The room, though, was covered in hair, as if a hairdresser had been working there or the place had been a barbershop. There was visible mold, which can clearly be a health hazard, and I couldn’t find a single corner without toenails. Aside from the location and the reception staff, everything was terrible by European standards. I honestly wonder how a place like this is allowed to operate in Europe. It’s a disgrace by European standards.

This is a hostel, not a hotel: the bathrooms are shared, with no private ones. The rooms look nothing like the photos, and the price is incredibly high. Don’t waste your money.

Small room, but the canal view is nice and the bed is comfortable. The shared bathroom was clean and in good condition. Worked perfectly for one night.
