Kaboom Maastricht

I picked this hotel for its location, and the room was big enough in a nice, cozy place. The bathroom needs a refresh, especially because there was mold under the shower. The mattresses were worn out and the beds should be replaced. The lighting also needs attention, since it really wasn't good enough for reading.

The location is very good, across from the central station, with an easy walk into the center. It's handy with luggage, and you can catch a bus to pretty much anywhere in Maastricht. The price is reasonable, rooms are spacious enough, and the elevator needs a hotel card, which feels a little more secure. The reception staff member was friendly and helpful when we asked to borrow cups. My family stayed here during their visit. The hotel felt a bit quirky to me, with its wallpaper, random gnomes, and stick bugs for rent, yes, really. In my parents' room, both soap bottles were unusable.

A good option for a couple of nights. The hotel is accessible, affordable, and accommodating, right in front of Maastricht station. There are good places to eat next door, and the city center is within walking distance.

The service was friendly, and check-in and check-out were quick and easy. We stayed two nights and thought the room was nice and clean. There's no kettle for making hot drinks, but you can ask reception for one. Otherwise, it's good value, and the location is hard to beat, right in front of Maastricht Main Train Station & Bus Terminal and within walking distance of the old town, where most of the activity happens. We'll definitely come again.
