1905 Suites Restaurant

A quiet place with a nice-looking setup, but the service was painfully slow. My dish took 50 minutes, and arrived cold. The pork ribs were dry and tasteless. Prices are about what you’d expect in Nepal.

We went for breakfast and had ravioli, a grilled chicken sandwich, and mocktails. The food was good, though mild and subtle on the spices. The staff were lovely, sweet, and helpful, and the restaurant feels beautifully surrounded by nature. It’s a nice experience, but on the expensive side. We paid 3000 for that meal.

It took more than 30 minutes for breakfast to arrive. The English breakfast was the better of the three options we tried, but finding a vegetarian dish was a struggle, so we ended up ordering Indian breakfast, puri or paratha. At 745 Nrs, it came with just one piece of paratha, plus pickle and yoghurt. That was the biggest letdown for the price. I came back to 1905 after a long time and tried breakfast there for the first time, but was really disappointed. The Eggs Benedict was bad: they used a burger bun, the bacon was hard to cut, chew, and swallow, and the eggs weren’t impressive either.

We had a whale of a time here. The boss is super friendly and great company, the setup is wonderful, and the food was amazingly tasty. One of the best places around for dinner at night. Bravo to the team for this place.
