Hotel Friend's Home

I’ve stayed here twice already and am looking forward to a third visit. The rooms are spacious and clean, the WiFi works well, and there’s hot water around the clock. The staff are especially friendly and helpful. When the hotel was full, they even found me another place to stay. It’s quiet here, while still close to everything in Thamel.

We stayed three nights at Hotel Friends Home after our trek. It was quiet, comfortable and pleasant, and a very good price. The hotel is on a quiet intersection, but close to everything you might need or want in Thamel. The staff were kind, attentive and helpful. The rooms were a good size, with clean, comfortable beds. The bathroom was clean too, and the shower had very hot water and great pressure. I didn’t try the restaurant on site.

We were really happy with both the room and the service. The staff were so warm, and the food was exquisite. Even with 4 degrees outside, you can expect the room to stay at 25°-32° all the time.

The owners and staff were wonderfully hospitable, and the restaurant served great food. My room was large, clean and comfortable. I stayed three nights in Kathmandu before leaving, and found this a great base for enjoying the capital. It’s right by Thamel and within walking distance of many sights, shops and experiences.
