Hotel Northfield

The location and low price are the only real upsides. There are other Thamel places in the same budget with better facilities. The hotel photos are misleading, and our room was dirty: filthy sheets, curtains that looked long overdue for washing, and a bathroom that smelled bad. The bathroom also picked up a bad smell from outside. They did provide soap, shampoo, and toilet paper, and our shower had hot water. The woman meant to clean the room was very rude. I asked several times and she kept saying “10 more mins” while lying on a bed and video chatting with friends. Even after I asked reception to get her to clean, she was still on the call while doing it. Later, I saw her brushing a bed in another room with the same broom used on the floor. Just imagine how dirty that is.

Dear Akash Verma, For strict security reasons, we require ID from both people, especially when they are a man and a woman. Because of the woman's behavior, which we considered unethical, we had to ask for ID and didn't want to risk further problems. We don't allow illegal activities at our hotel. We are a family-friendly hotel.

The rooms look beautiful and are clean, and the street view is amazing. This hotel is right in the center of thamel, with shopping and purchasing shops next door and just about everything nearby. Only breakfast is free, served in the morning, and it was delicious. Awesome resident, good location.

The place looks nice, but the room rates are sky-high. In my room the bathroom lock was damaged, there was no water gun, and there were no hangers for towels. The cafe is very, very expensive too. Two chicken noodles came to around 1100NPR, including 10% service charge and 5% vat tax. Not worth it.
