The hotel arranged a car and driver for me, and the driver was careful and drove peacefully through the insane traffic. The nearby street is outside the main patio, so all you hear are birds. Do wear comfortable closed shoes, though, as the streets are muddy. There’s a very good “Trucare” pharmacy close by, with Ayurvedic items and helpful staff, and “Himalayan Java Cafe” at the stupa is worth trying. Location really matters here: the biggest Stupa is just five minutes away, and the neighborhood has everything you need. From the restaurant on the 7th floor, the Stupa view is famous among locals and even better than Hyatt’s. The breakfast is generous, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the bath is hot with fluffy towels. The rooms also have air conditioning, safety, and bath amenities. The ladies at reception, Pramila and Rinchhen, were helpful, even when I needed to find the WiFi. The SPA could have a better ambiance, but the massage was very good.

In the evening, they came by for turn down service with cookies and anything else I might need. Housekeeping and Room service were also really good, though I did give them some feedback about their paranthas. The breakfast was delicious, the view on the 7th floor is beautiful, and the massage spa has nice ladies and an amazing ambience. Tibet International is a peaceful, safe haven in a busy part of Kathmandu, just a five minute walk from beautiful, bustling Boudha stupa. I was impressed by how impeccably clean the hotel was and how staff worked from early to late to keep it that way. When I asked to change rooms for a different view if one was available, Ms Rinchen graciously agreed and gave me a lovely room for the rest of my stay. She and Prenella were very sweet and helpful, and the staff’s hospitality really makes the place. My one small suggestion is that it would be nice to have umbrellas for guests. I had to go out in a downpour and asked a male staff member for one. He was the only person who was a little rude, but it didn’t spoil my stay. Thanks to Tibet International for a lovely stay. I wish the staff and the place lots of prosperity and happiness. Tashi delek!

The hotel is close to Boudhanath Stupa, just a short walk away, which made it easy to take peaceful morning and evening strolls. Even in a busy area, the atmosphere inside was quiet. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff were kind, welcoming, and ready to help. I enjoyed the food at the in house restaurant, especially the Tibetan and indian dishes, and breakfast had a good variety. Dining at night with majestic boudhanath right in front of you was especially beautiful. Hotel Tibet International offers a nice mix of comfort, culture, and convenience. Highly recommend it for a peaceful stay in Kathmandu or a visit to Boudha.

After Kathmandu’s noisy roads, it’s soothing to step into what feels like a quieter world, with care given to the heritage. The welcome is warm, and the staff were unfailingly kind. The gorgeous rooftop terrace looks out over the valley. Having a delicious buffet breakfast with views of the snowcapped Himalayan mountains and the great stupa is quite something. Highly recommend!

The rooftop terrace has lovely views over the valley, colorful buildings, snowcapped Himalayan mountains, and the great stupa. I also enjoyed the delicious homemade buffet breakfast. The welcome is warm, and the hotel has a heritage atmosphere. After the noise of cozy Kathmandu’s roads, stepping into this quieter world feels soothing.
