The food and coffee were standouts for me, with excellent, organic ingredients and thoughtful preparation. Kantipur Temple House also makes it easy to explore the city while offering a calm place to come back to. Its Newari Nepalese architecture is beautiful, full of traditional craftsmanship and character, and gives the property a real sense of Nepal. The staff were kind, polite, and genuinely attentive, always making an effort to help guests feel comfortable. It’s a lovely combination of traditional design, warm hospitality, and comfort. Highly recommended for an authentic, memorable stay in Nepal.

The hotel feels peaceful even though it’s right in the middle of Thamel, and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and well looked after. Its traditional Newari architecture gives the place a lot of character and offers a comfortable way to experience Nepali culture. The staff were polite, friendly, and ready to help. Highly recommended.

Lovely house and architecture, with very friendly staff. We liked that it was in Thamel but still quiet. The rooms are basic but clean, and the bathrooms are also quite basic for the price, though clean. There’s no bar or other amenities apart from breakfast and an 8am yoga class.

The setting is calm and beautiful, with a real Nepalese feel, and the architecture makes it charming beyond just being a place to eat. The food at Kantipur Temple House was absolutely delicious. Arjun was so nice and welcoming, which made our visit even more special. Highly recommended for great food in a serene, authentic setting.

I felt rushed before coming here, but Kantipur Temple House helped me feel calm and at home. The staff are incredibly friendly, and you can enjoy breakfast in the garden or rooftop yoga in the morning. It’s a quiet, serene oasis in busy Kathmandu. I can only recommend it, and hope I’ll be back.
