Nagarjun Resort

My sister and her friends booked through booking.com and had a terrible stay at Nagarjun Resort. The photos said check-in was around noon, but staff said they were busy and kept them waiting until 3:40 pm. They were told to enjoy the view while the room was being prepared. When it was ready, the resort offered a downgrade for the price they’d paid, which they refused. They had clearly asked for vegetarian food and a Veg pad Thai, but were served chicken. When they explained the whole situation to the manager, the manager apologized and offered wine as compensation. They refused it, then somehow stayed the night before leaving. The resort later offered a discount for ruining their vacation. My sister and her friends work in hospitality, so they know how guests should be treated and how to treat others. They said it was their worst experience ever.

The pool area was dirty and crowded, and the facilities overall fell well short of what I expected. Check-in was a mess, with us waiting for hours while staff tried to get rooms ready. Nobody kept us informed or apologized, and there was no effort to make the delay more comfortable. The whole weekend was frustrating. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. If you want a ruined weekend, this is the place.

The only person who handled things professionally was the Night Manager, Miss Shrijana. She listened carefully and tried to make up for the problems with a complimentary dinner and gifts. We appreciated her individual effort, but it couldn’t make up for the way the establishment was run. We checked out early and left the gifts behind. We arrived at 11 AM, then had our check-in pushed back repeatedly until after 3 PM. The information on booking.com was false, and the front desk staff, Junu, was dismissive and rude. We were first offered a replacement room that smelled strongly of smoke, had tilted fixtures, and sticky surfaces. The bar’s ice tongs were tainted with hookah coil, and the glassware in our final room had dust and lint on it. As a strict vegetarian, I was served Pad Thai contaminated with chicken. When we raised it, the chef showed no accountability, squished the meat with his fingers in front of us, then dismissively offered a replacement. Front Office, Housekeeping, and Kitchen didn’t seem to communicate; staff appeared confused and untrained, and treated paying guests like pushovers. Our planned retreat was ruined by poor management, hygiene, and basic hospitality. Don’t waste your money or peace of mind here.

The swimming pool area was dirty and poorly maintained, and cleanliness across the property fell far below expectations. Staff seemed disorganized and couldn’t manage even basic requests. From the moment we arrived, check-in was a mess and guests were left waiting for hours because rooms weren’t ready. What should have been a relaxing weekend turned stressful and frustrating. There are much better places to spend your money. I wouldn’t recommend this property.
