OYO 352 Hotel Konark Inn

The breakfast was terrible, and the staff were rude. They first showed me a standard room and called it deluxe. Later they agreed to move me to another deluxe room, but that one was disappointing too, with cracked walls and a very cramped bathroom. There was no inverter or generator during a power cut, and the internet only seemed to get fixed around 9pm. The hotel was expensive, and I wouldn't recommend it.

This was one of the worst hotel stays we've ever had. We called from the airport to book, and the staff said they could provide a deluxe room. When we arrived, we were given a normal room that smelled of smoke, had mould, and lacked both light and ventilation, yet we were charged the deluxe rate. The front desk staff were rude, and the service, including the internet, was poor. I don't recommend this hotel. I also strongly suggest that management value its customers, since that could help boost tourism and the hotel sector.

The quiet surroundings were a real plus, and the hotel is just off the main road, with nearby places easy to reach. The airport is about 14-15 minutes away by cab. Staff were friendly and humble. My room was okay for a three-star place, though it could be better: I found a cockroach at first. I had spray with me, but it still made sleeping a little scary. I only tried three or four dishes, and those were pretty good.

The room was spacious and in mint condition, with a TV, free WiFi, a safe, and a hairdryer in the bathroom. The staff, from the doorman and reception team to the waiters and cleaners, were friendly, helpful, smiling, and spoke English. OYO 352 Hotel Konark Inn is in Naxal near Bhagwati Temple, in the Lazimpath part of Kathmandu. With its restaurant, bar, 24-hour front desk, room service, and free WiFi, it offers two-star accommodation. The hotel felt like a quiet oasis amid the city's busy traffic.
