A good place to stay in KTM, with comfortable rooms, nice bathrooms and a sheltered but open balcony. It’s less than a 10-minute walk to the heart of Thamel. They cook onsite, and the curry, breakfasts and tea are good, with reasonable prices for everything.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the place was clean and tidy. They even made me gluten-free pancakes, which was awesome! There was a downside: some drunk guests partied in their room and were still allowed to stay. It didn’t change my rating. A floor squeegee in the bathroom might help :)

After a long journey, this was just what we needed for the night. The room was clean and had a large bed, private bathroom and balcony. The staff service was excellent, and it’s close to Thamel.

The rooftop has a nice view of some hills or mountains, and there are family restaurants and shops right outside. A couple of taxis also tend to wait nearby if you need a ride into the city. Check the fare with the hotel staff or on Taximandu or inDriver first, though, since drivers may charge more than twice the regular fare. The hotel itself was cozy, with hot water in the shower, friendly staff and good food at the downstairs cafe. It costs less than most hotels in the area without giving up comfort.
