Yakety Yak Hostel

We came here at both the beginning and end of our trip, and the location is phenomenal. Nhema and the other staff are really kind and helpful. The rooms and food are well priced, everything is clean, and service is available around the clock. Great people, thanks! I'll be back.

Everyone at Yaktikay Hostel was welcoming and friendly, which made it feel comfortable and positive. Uncle's cooking was amazing too. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back soon.

I spent two nights at Yakety Yak Hostel in Thamel, Kathmandu. It's right in the middle of the area, handy for shops, cafés, sightseeing, and local attractions, yet surprisingly peaceful inside. The rooms were comfortable, clean, airy, and well looked after, and the staff were polite and ready to help with questions or small requests. The hostel has a friendly, social feel, and seemed suitable whether traveling solo or with friends. Cleanliness, safety, and value were all up to the mark. I'd happily stay again and recommend it for a comfortable place in a prime location at a reasonable price.

The dorms are clean, the atmosphere feels classy, and you're right among the Thamel, Kathmandu market. There's a separate dorm option for women too. I liked it much more than hotels, especially for a group of friends or if you're on a trek. The food is just ok, but the ambience is lovely for a beer, board games, or cards. Totally recommend it.
