We found this motel really welcoming, and the owners were lovely and accommodating. It's very central and great value. We also appreciated having a parking space close to our room that felt fairly private. We'd happily stay again and recommend it.

We were in Napier for the U19 Football Tournament and spent three nights at City Close Motel. The newly refurbished rooms were beautifully decorated, with quality linen, towels and supplies. The thoughtful touches included NZ toiletries, Dilmah tea bags and Jeds Coffee Bags. Our unit was even serviced while we were out, which gave the stay a lovely hotel feel. The motel is clearly much loved, and we were delighted with our stay. It's a five minute walk into the main town centre, with a Pak n Save just across the road. Even with the window open, traffic noise wasn't a problem so close to the CBD. The rooms are well insulated, which must be a real plus in winter, though I imagine they could get warm in summer, so a fan would be welcome. We'd definitely stay again.

The location was so handy, close to the supermarket, CBD and beach. My family and I had a wonderful stay, and we loved everything you provided. Probably one of the best motels in Napier. We'll definitely see you again soon.

We were among the first guests after the renovations, and the owners were amazing to deal with. Nothing was a problem. The little units are charming, quiet and clean, with what you need for a stay. They're close to just about everything, and you can walk to most places. We'd most definitely stay again.
