I booked Cerca Hotel for four nights during a promo after researching options for my first Boracay trip, and was glad I did. Though Google Maps makes the entrance look confusing, it's easy to find once you know where it is. From the hotel it's just a few steps to Station 2's white sand beachfront, and McDonalds beachfront, bars, and D Mall are close by. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Inside, the hotel has a clean industrial style, and my room was comfortable, with a balcony and a clean, practical bathroom. The hot shower worked well, and the AC kept up with the humidity without any issues. There was a free water dispenser downstairs, and Wi-Fi was reliable enough for me to work with my client at night. A convenient, solid value stay, and I'd come back.

As a solo female traveler, feeling safe mattered most, and I felt secure throughout my four-day birthday stay at Cerca Hotel last year. Station 2 is a great base, very close to the beach and key places, so getting around was easy. The hotel isn't luxury, but it was immaculately clean and had the amenities I needed. I also appreciated the calm atmosphere as an introvert. The staff were respectful, helpful, and accommodating. Highly recommended for solo travelers.

My experience didn't match all the other reviews, which made me wonder if some people were being paid. I booked the cheaper room because I mostly just need a bed and shower. The second-floor room was clean, but it had an overpowering smell like strong cleaner, almost moth balls. Spraying cologne into the AC didn't clear it. I tried to sleep from 1500-1700, but the room had little soundproofing. I kept smelling the cleaner and hearing noise outside the door, downstairs, and from the neighboring building. Headphones helped some. After three hours there, I left for another hotel, though I had paid for two non-refundable days. Losing that money wasn't going to break me. The other hotel cost 150% more and was 500% better. The staff were nice, if unremarkable. The location is close to the beach, but down a dark alley that took some effort to find at first. The rooms are garbage. If you're coming to Boracay for a romantic getaway or a dream vacation after flying across the Earth, avoid this hotel.

I stayed here in March 2025 and slept really well, even though I usually struggle to sleep during the day because I work nights. The room was comfortable and quiet, with a relaxing feel, and the bathroom was spotless and well kept. The beach is a convenient five-minute walk away, making it budget-friendly for families and couples. Staff were friendly and attentive. They kept the hallways clean and dry for guests coming back from the beach. The security team was active too. One night we accidentally left our key in the door, and a roaming guard quickly retrieved it. Thanks for keeping us safe.

The room was nothing like the listing. We were put on the ground floor in a plain, strange-smelling space with no window or balcony, much smaller than the photos. We left right away and booked somewhere else. When I told the front desk employee and returned the key, she just said, “Ok,” and carried on. Finding the hotel was confusing, down one of two dark alleys with no signs. We arrived an hour early and could leave our bags, but had to go away until after 2 p.m. There was construction in the hallway, and my wife tripped on the uneven floor. At check-in, we were given rules saying no food of any kind in the room. I don't understand the 4.5 rating; it has to be fake. Worst hotel experience I've had.
