Alba Uno Hotel

The walk from the main road is muddy and rocky, and there isn't a table in the room for meals or work. Inside, though, the room was much bigger than I expected and kept in good shape. The aircon worked well, the bed was large, and the heated shower was a nice extra. It's very close to IT park, which makes it a good option for business travel.

The room problems started as soon as we got upstairs: the air conditioner was broken and there was no hot water. We had to move, and at least the next room had working air conditioning. We didn't test the heater carefully, though, and discovered the following morning that it was faulty too, so staff had to come fix it. Before that, the booking had already been frustrating. We paid extra through Booking.com for a double bed, but staff couldn't say whether we'd actually get one and only said they'd try. At check-in, the receptionist made a strange comment involving “Me Julie.” I hadn't realized that was someone's name, and the whole exchange was confusing and unprofessional. It was a very bad stay.

The staff were terrific and really went out of their way. The shower was fine, somewhere between warm and cold, and the aircon worked well. The bed, pillows, and blanket were all comfortable too. For the same price, I'd choose this over other hotels.

Everyone working there was polite, and the location is excellent. For what you pay, it's a decent place to stay.
