OK Pensionne House

We had to switch rooms twice, first because the air conditioning was poor, then because the other room had a plumbing problem that caused a foul smell. The staff were really good and helped quickly.

I paid 950 pesos for an outdated one-bed room with aircon, and came away really disappointed. I've stayed in cheaper places that always included free toiletries. Here the soap wasn't sealed, and there was no shampoo. I thought it was a mistake and went to the lobby to ask, but apparently shampoo costs 10 pesos. I had to go back upstairs to the second floor, then return to buy it.

The bidet was broken and the pillows were very thin, but the room was decent for budget travel and the WiFi was strong enough. We were lucky this was the only hotel we could find with a generator during a citywide power interruption. The location is great, near the public market, convenience stores, pharmacies, and other places to eat. They also have parking.

We had a nice, clean room with aircon for less than 1000 pesos, so it was very affordable. It wasn't spacious and had no TV, and there was no hot-and-cold shower. The WiFi was great, and the staff were helpful and accommodating.
