Blessed Inn - Annex

We booked four nights, but after one painfully sleepless night, we asked to cancel the rest. The owner refused at first. After we'd stayed two nights and made several complaints to Agoda, the owner finally agreed to cancel the remaining nights. Having spent two months traveling around the Philippines on a budget, I can say this was the worst place we stayed. It's impossible to sleep here, even 10 seconds of quiet would feel lucky. It's on one of the busiest streets in El Nido, with loud tricycles and scooters passing constantly at every hour. Closing the "windows" and turning on the fan didn't block the noise. The walls are paper thin, and the upper part of the ceiling is open, so sound comes straight through. The low price absolutely isn't worth it, even for one night. Spend a few bucks more to avoid this busy street and this structure. It doesn't even try to keep the sound out, and it should be illegal to rent the place for money. I absolutely don't recommend staying here, or even considering it.

The location is great, and the price is okay for a room with AC and a private bathroom. The AC is very loud, and the toilet flushes with a bucket of water. The bed was a bit too small for us, and we barely slept because of the traffic, dogs, and AC noise, even in the middle room. Before our last night, we had to move to another hotel because the lack of sleep was unbearable. The WiFi was very good, though, and the owner helped us with lots of things. If you're a light sleeper, avoid this hotel. Otherwise, all good.

This was our third stay at Blessed Inn. The host is great, and the air conditioning and WiFi are good. Blessed Inn has the best price in the Town area. You might find the same price farther from the center, but then you'd spend more on tricycles, while here everything is within walking distance. The Sea Port of El Nido, where the nightlife is and where island hopping tours depart, is just a 2-minute walk away.

I booked only four days before my trip to Palawan and still found this place affordable. Blessed Inn is in the city center, and the simple rooms are clean and well-appointed. It's a good fit for solo travelers or couples. The Bible verses and praises posted around the place make me feel blessed and remind me to be grateful every day for my life and for God's gift of life.
