The beach and lagoon are the main draws here. The cove has clean, coarse sand and calm water for swimming or sunbathing, while the man-made lagoon is a peaceful spot for kayaking and paddleboarding. There’s plenty for groups and families too, including big pools, bowling, billiards, and sports courts at the Beach Club and Country Club. Pico de Loro is a large resort complex in Hamilo Coast, and it makes for an easy short break from Manila. Rented condo units are often roomy and comfortable, though the quality can vary. Meals tend to be pricey, so bringing snacks may help. There’s a lot to enjoy, but the costs are high. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The facilities feel a bit old, and some Airbnb units we saw were dated despite having the same room rates. For what you pay, the quality should be better. Getting around also took patience: the shuttle could be slow, or it was an eight-minute walk from the beach to the pool, which isn’t convenient for seniors or people with disabilities. The wristband rules were a hassle, and the place can get very crowded in peak season. We came over Mother’s Day weekend. Food was hit or miss, though we still enjoyed our stay. We don’t plan to return anytime soon.

The lagoon pathway was lovely for a walk or jog, and the beach had clear water and fine sand. We spent two days here as a family and had a remarkable time. The staff were courteous, the amenities were excellent, and the resort felt peaceful and private. Shuttles are available to get between places. We’ll be back soon!

The journey is long, but the lush scenery and Batangas mountain ranges along the way make it worthwhile. Once inside the property, you get a wonderful sea view, plus good amenities and a beach with fine sand. I’m glad I picked this place for a holiday with my family.
