The food was only mediocre, edible but not worth the money. I’d rather grab a drink outside in the square, which is much nicer than eating here. The pastries were the worst part. One staff member was incredibly rude: they dropped the plate down hard, mumbled when I asked for it to go, then laughed when I paid by card. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. The owner should seriously reconsider keeping staff like that. I’m never coming back, and I’d tell others to walk a little farther for much better food and service.

We stopped at the outdoor kiosque on Plaça Velha for a beer before lunch and ordered nachos to go with our drinks, as advertised at the kiosque. They charged us 8€ for stale, dusty chips. After what felt like an unjustified tourist fee, we asked the waiters about it and were treated very rudely. Keep walking and go somewhere else. There are plenty of better addresses to enjoy.

Everyone loves this place. Our waiter was so kind to us, and we loved the food and drinks, especially the gallon and the coffee.

We usually spend time on the terrace in the praça velha when we visit Terceira each year. But this year João was gone, unlike the previous two years. He brought the terrace to life with his friendliness and playful manner, and he was an excellent young man and waiter. We always ordered gin from him because he’d prepare it at our table on the tray. Without him, the terrace has lost its magic. The service isn’t the same, and there seems to be no passion anymore. There have also been constant mistakes, one after another.
