Lisbon Destionation Hostel

We were sad to leave. The hostel was very clean and comfortable, and everyone we met was so friendly. Our private room and bathroom were wonderful for the price, and there’s a full kitchen and a great hangout area. It's joined to a cool coffee shop and right by the train station, though we couldn't hear trains from our room. They put on fun events and also observe quiet hours. Rodrigo made check-in easy and welcoming. Sarah helped us plan a trip to Porto, and Pedro kindly stored our bags after checkout until it was time to head to the airport. Highly recommend!

The staff made us feel very welcome. Thanks to Joao for handling check-in and sharing travel tips, and to Sara, Sunita, and Jane for all their work behind the scenes to keep guests comfortable. We booked a private room with breakfast included, and Salvatore put together a full spread and even took individual egg orders. I hadn't stayed in a hostel for about 30 years and wasn't sure if I'd feel too old, but it was nice to find other Gen Xers there. Guests ranged from young people making memories to older couples and families. We arrived before check-in, and they stored our bags and let us use the showers. The hostel is affordable, central, close to public transport and the sites, and surrounded by plenty of places to eat. It's right inside the train station, so we got on the train to Sintra without going outside. Don't expect anything fancy. Still, staying in the historic building was fun, the plants under the skylights in the common area are lovely, and everything was clean.

We came before peak season, and it was really peaceful. The room was cozy and clean, and the central location made it easy to find our way around. Sara was amazing, and knowing reception was open 24 hours helped when we arrived very late. There are hairdryers and a range of activities to join. All the staff we met were friendly and knew their roles well. I'd highly recommend staying here!

It was my first hostel stay, and a memorable one. The bathrooms were clean and had soap, and the staff were really friendly. João and Jane deserve a special mention for creating such a welcoming atmosphere and remembering everyone in our group after just two days. One small thing: I wish the under-bed storage locks could take a proper disc lock. One locker in my room did, but most only fit a comically small padlock, which we had to buy for around 4 or 5 euro. Apart from that, this place was great and I highly recommend it!
