We were a family of four and stayed for about a month. We booked three months ahead, but nobody told us construction and renovations would be happening. From morning until 4 PM, the noise kept us from sleeping throughout the vacation. Whenever we complained, they said it would be fixed the next day, but nothing changed, and sometimes it got louder. The walls are extremely thin, and the person in the apartment next door played music so loudly we could hear it outside the building. We also kept seeing dead and live cockroaches near the entrance. There are only stairs, and the electricity kept cutting in and out whenever we used the stove or similar appliances. Sometimes it went out even when we weren't doing anything. From the first day to the last, we couldn't sleep. It wasn't fun, and it may have been the worst vacation we've ever had.

Construction was going on constantly, and the apartment was definitely smaller than advertised. The furniture and equipment were old and seemed collected without any thought. For the price, it wasn't worth it, and I don't understand where the good ratings came from. The area also felt a bit dangerous, with a lot of dodgy people around.

The flat was clean, and the code-operated lock meant we didn't need keys. It's in a great spot for tourists, right in the city center and near the train station. The walls are thin, though, so you can hear the neighbors coming in. We didn't really mind, but one night someone shut the door hard and a picture fell off the wall onto us. I understand thin walls are common in Portugal.

The location was fine, but sleeping there was a nightmare. The walls in our room were damp, and it was so unpleasant inside that we had to keep all the windows open.

I was happy with the booking. The apartment was on the second floor and had a really nice view of the river and the Pantheon.
