Hotel Italia

For Porto, this hotel offers the best location and quality for the price, in my view. Great hotel.

The breakfast room is small and there wasn’t much choice, though there’s a little outdoor area where you can sit and relax. Reception stays open 24 hours. My room had two beds and was very clean, but it wasn’t large. The pillows weren’t to my liking, and there was only one on each bed. The bathroom was spotless and had towels, soap, shower gel and even a hairdryer. The air conditioning and TV both worked. The hotel is well placed in the city center.

Good price, easy to spot and in a great location. The room was clean and nice, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. :)

We booked at the last minute after an hostel let us down by not providing the private bathroom we’d asked for. We have a child under two, so that mattered. From the welcome through to the end, the staff treated us extremely well. They had lovely manners and excellent guest skills, and nothing seemed too much trouble. The room was great, and the cleaning was brilliant. It felt like coming back to a new room every day. The place has a family-business feel, somewhere between a hotel and an air B&B, rather than a chain. If we return to Lisbon, which seems quite likely because we loved the city and Portuguese people, we’ll definitely book again. Thanks to everyone who made us feel special. We really enjoyed our stay. :-D
