Rossio Hostel

I booked a female only room at Rossio for two nights, from 4th July 2025 to 6th July. My Friday flight was delayed because of air strikes, so I couldn't arrive for the first night. I made sure to tell the hostel I'd be there Saturday and asked them not to give away the room I'd paid for. When I arrived early Saturday morning in Lisbon, they told me my room had been given away and nothing would be available until 3pm. Even then, they only had mixed rooms, despite my female only booking. As a solo female traveller, that was not acceptable. After a lot of back and forth and false promises, they ignored me and made excuses. When I finally got into a room later that afternoon, the charging outlets were broken. The girls in that room had also previously been moved because of BED BUGS. I'm still waiting for the refund Rossio promised. Terrible customer service and handling of the situation. DO NOT STAY HERE.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were amazing and friendly, the location is right in the middle of Lisbon, and breakfast was cooked to order.

Pedro at reception made check-in smooth and was very helpful. This is a cool hostel in a central part of Lisbon, with attractions and public transport within easy walking distance. Breakfast was delicious for the hostel's economical room price. I'd recommend it for solo travellers.

The social feel made it easy to meet people, even while traveling solo, and I felt at home here. Breakfast each morning was fresh and filling, and the rooms and shared spaces were clean and cozy. Rossio Hostel was a great experience from beginning to end. It's right in the heart of Lisbon, close to the main sights and public transport. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, always ready to help. If I come back to Lisbon, this is the first place I'll book. Highly recommended!
