RIVA Mamaia Aparthotel

On my first solo trip to Romania, I loved this place. The penthouse was beautiful, right on the beach, with a full kitchen and a huge balcony. Breakfast was delicious, and the service was friendly. Parking too.

The suite had about 65 square meters, with quality furniture and appliances, automatic air conditioning, a large fridge, two TVs, one very large bed, and a big extendable couch. The kitchen was large and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. We were a family of four in a panoramic deluxe suite, and the sea views from this beachfront location were stunning. The balcony was a great spot to sit in the breeze. The staff were friendly, cheerful, helpful, and professional, always ready to sort out any issues. Breakfast was tasty, and there’s a restaurant and an ice cream place on the ground floor. Parking is free and only 50 meters away. We’d definitely recommend it and plan to come back soon.

Mamaia was practically deserted during our week at Riva Mamaia, so the location may not suit everyone, but it was nice and quiet. We stayed with family in a lovely apartment with a beautiful view. The big balcony had a hammock and three sunbeds, and the rooms were very clean with an okay design. The bed was really uncomfortable, though, and my back hurt throughout the vacation. Even so, we had a great stay.

We spent seven weeks at Riva, and the apartment size, breakfast, location, and staff all made us happy. Irina, the manager, is friendly and helpful, and the cleaning ladies, Ana, Elena, and the rest, are lovely people. Guests get umbrellas and chairs for free on the hotel beach, where the beach staff are great too. I’d definitely return to Riva for another long stay.
